Hotel Pushkin is located in the heart of Moscow in a quiet Nastasyinsky side-street,connecting to famous Tverskaya street.Nastasyinsky side-street stretches only for 200 meters. It was one of the four side-streets in the Old Vorotniki. Perhaps it was named Nastasyinsky after the wife of Prince Volkonsky, who had there a large estate in 1730s.Sometimes the side-street was called Knyazh-Nastasyevsky and Medvezhy.
Hotel Pushkin is located in the historic mansion, which was built in 1883-1891. On the second floor there was situated a cozy little theatre named after Vera Komissarzhevskaya (established on the basis of the studio), directed by her stepbrother Fyodor Komissarzhevsky, an architect by profession. He raised the banner of theatrical “romanticism” in the pre-revolutionary Moscow.We are confident that our guests will really appreciate the flavor, hospitality and high level service.
